Norbert GORNY

Dr. Norbert Gorny held various positions at Essilor International S.A. France from 2011 to 2024, most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Directeur Général Adjoint. Since March 2024, Dr. Gorny has been working as Chief Scientific Officer at EssilorLuxottica S.A.

Before joining Essilor, Dr. Gorny was Executive Vice President of Pöyry Plc, a global consulting and engineering company. As a long-standing member of the Executive Board of the Carl Zeiss Group and most recently President and CEO of Carl Zeiss Vision International, Dr. Gorny, who holds a doctorate in biology, has outstanding industry expertise and comprehensive know-how of the ophthalmic optics trade. Dr. Gorny started his career at McKinsey&Company.

Dr. Norbert Gorny has been Vice President of the German Association for Quality (DGQ) since 2014 and a member of the DGQ Executive Board since 2004.
